Militsa Markovich

The deputy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from Bosnia and Herzegovina Militsa Markovich, known as the author of the resonant report on the Sarsang reservoir in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

According to the Bosnian edition of klix, the Armenian side believes that Militsa Markovich ignored the positions of other parties, while emphasizing that the same arrangement is visible behind all this, as was the case with the adoption of previous PACE resolutions in favor of Azerbaijan, when on the account of the former deputy Luka Volonté listed 2.5 million euros of unknown origin. “

The source reads that Markovich received a  bribe to develop the report in favor to Azerbajan. ” Nagorno  Karabakh,  with armeinan  as the majority of population, in 1991  stated its independence from Azerbaijan, bud did not get the  international adjudication. Until now the political, and -time to  time- miltary confilct still exists, hence PACE  in September 2014  appointed Markovich as a reporter to obtain  the complete information  on reservoirs condition. A PACE voting took place based on her  report, which caused the astonishment of Armenians,” the article  reads.

Within that it is mentioned  the letter received remindig that during  the procedure of adoption of one of the previous PACE resolutions  regarding Italian representative Luca Volonte’s report on political  prisoners in Azerbaijan, it has been proved that an amount of EUR 2,4  mln of unknown origin  had been allocated to the reporter’s account .  “Hence, according to the Armenian position, as far as Markovich  has  ignored the observance of all the aspects and factors during the  process of monitoring, there is a reason to assume that all these  actions cover similar agreement,” the letter states.

Meanwhile, Markovich  in her interview to  Eurobic stated  that all  this is nonsense and speculation, not related to any  reality, and  that Armenian side refused cooperating  with her and started to send  angry letters.

To note, on January 26, 2016 at  the PACE winter session the  scandalous report of Bosnia and Herzegovina representative Milca  Markovich in respect to Sarsang Water Reservoir, entitled  “Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately  deprived of water”   was passed with 98 votes “for”, 71 “against” and  40 neutral.
