Meyer, who holds senior positions in the public service in the Russian Federation, allowed himself to voice publicly on the air TV “Kultura” the theses of Turkish-Azerbaijani propaganda, purposefully and cynically rejecting the fact of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
Michael Meyer: “The one that wanted to play the subject of the genocide was the Entente. The topic that Muslims are guilty and Armenians-Christians are innocent they played a lot. Although in fact there was a massacre on both sides. There were oOnly one and a half million Armenians. Since some part has survived, it can not be said that there were a half million (note – it is meant the victims of the genocide). Many died of hunger, disease.”
